1 yr 30 wks: Tamaleed Out! 12-27-09

We made tradition pork with red chile tamales on my bday. They were so good! Yum... Then a few days later we made cheese and jalapeno tamales, and sweet ones too. Then, Liz came up with a supper cool bbq ribs tamales- they would have came out good, if my pot didn't start to catch fire! The worst part wasn't that the whole house stunk like burnt tire rubber and we had to open the windows on a below zero night and that the house we were at was my parents (a super clean, cookie-cutter mansion)...the worst part was that I ruined my moms (one day owned) new limited edition princess house tamale pot! I'm so fortunate the glass lid didn't burst off! Thank goodness she's a heavier sleepier than me and didn't know what had happened (and she's too busy to read my blog, she just looks at the pics). Eddie came up with funny jokes the entire night, like I don't make tamales I make tapiores.

Christmas was a much happier note with the family coming together and having fondus and tamales. Poor Jaz could only eat cheese and bread. We also visited Ed's family which was a lot of fun.
