Visiting with family! 8-13-09

Because spending 3 weeks on the road with our family wasn't enough, we got together for hotdogs and burgers over at Phil and Carmens... The boys (and Ed) enjoyed the heated pool very much (it's good to know "pool peeps."

The first couple of days back we tended our garden and discovered Rex the Peacock had flown the coop again. We haven't heard his barking at 6am so we figured he hitched a ride far, far away.

Phil and I were in a taco eating competion, and while I got there 2 minutes before it ended, I must have won for having the greatest number of fans (thanks: Wendy-lox, Angel, Biankie, Ed, Josh, Melie, and Lina and the boys for cheering me on!) ...and while carm and bry were there too, they were cheering for my foe, Phil... Afterward, the Wendy crew came over to hang out and chat as Angel and the boys played in the yard.

Later in the week, we picked pomagrants! By the look of Eli's face you could tell they were real red and juicy. PS: if there is anything you guys want to grow, but don't have room for in your yard, let us know, we'll be happy to plant it (as long as it is legal).
