1 Yr 16 weeks: On the Road Again! 09-20-08

I had no idea how jam packed our days are until, I reflect back on our weekly pictures that we take.

Max is taking lots of steps on his own and is holding his balance more! Eli is such a chatterbox with strangers. Both babies are understanding American Sign Language (ASL) more, like when we're going to the kitchen to eat, I'll sign kitchen + food and they get up and start heading to the kitchen. It's so cool to see them sign to each other even if it's as simple as pointing and signing milk or more! Max's favorite sign is more and Eli's is milk.

Sunday we hung out with Wendy and Andrew and went on a bike ride. Monday and Tuesday afternoon the boys rode their bikes outside with the our front nieghbors children. On Wednesday we went to the LA county fair which was a lot of fun. The boys cooled of at a giant inflatable water hydrant. Thursday, we went on a play date with Aurora (her mom Chris and grandpa Bill). Bill is my mom's former co-worker whom I bumped into at Ralph's. His daughter Chris and I exchange numbers and have been chatting since. On Friday, we went to Ms Dotty's class which was really exciting to see all of our old class mates! Ed joined us for a short while before heading back to the DMV. Afterward, we jetted home to pack up the car with our traveling gear and drove to Palm Springs. (We stopped at the best restaurant ever!!! -the best ribs we've ever had (and we've gone to BBQ Kings, and many ghetto backyard bbq, even that famous one in Seal Beach doesn't compare!!!) I'm sure our tomato faces showed how how it is out there. For the third time, we've visited a place recommended by Hue Hesner (I'm sure I slaughtered his name), the 1000 Palms Trail. I'm so glad it is very refreshing under the palms, I couldn't believe how truly breezy and fresh it felt under their incredible shade... and water spouted out and created small creeks (water seeping out of the desert floor- amazing)!
