Visiting Old Sacramento...

We arrived in Sacramento late at night and found a hotel just off the freeway exit. In the morning, we decided to walk around and found out we were staying in old town Sacrament. It's nothing like Old town San Diego... no adobes, no dirt paths, no Mexican knick knacks... Old town Sacramento and more of a historical flare with huge steam trains and its Upscale Dining Paddle Boat! The side walks were wooden planks, reminiscent of old western movies. Ed told Eli that there was a Sea Monster in the River and that if he didn't behave while we ate, it would come out and EAT HIM!!! Max joyed Ed in the teasing and kept say, "Ohh, Eli, monster!"
We headed to see the Rail Road Trains and discovered the Polar Express was in Town... However those train rides had been sold out since May! I'll ask my mom to schedule a reminder in her blackberry so we don't forget to purchase our tickets for next year! Since it was raining and too chillie to be outside, we found a museum of Trains. The boys entered all the cabooses, there was one caboose that had motion; it felt like if we were in a moving train, we'd even seen light pass. The boys said hi to all the train conductors and after they discovered the Kids Train Area, they didn't want to leave... Hunger no sleep could get them away from here, so Ed bribed them with candy!!!
That night, they old town was having an alfresco enactment of the "Twas the Night Before Christmas." We arrived just in time to see it, Eli got scared and wanted his dad to hold him. Max sat quietly on the old wooden walkway next to me holding my hand saying, "Look Mommy Lights".
