Week 20: Let the teething begin! 10-20-07

Eddie and Liz have been seeing a lot drooling for a couple of weeks. Lately it has increased to fingers in the mouth rubbing their gums. They even try using the bottles nipple as an agitator. A few nights this week, they cry as they rub their gums. We bought teething ointments for babies. They do not like the numbing sensation and cry some more. We are excited to see little molars popping out soon! Meanwhile, they look like huge termites munching on everything- from their blankets, to the shirt that I’m wearing. We distract them by wiggling them around or towing them to and from the back yard, which usually helps. Eddie and the babies have been slightly under the weather. Ed has actually got sick and Eli is randomly coughing. Max sounds like he has buggies in his throat and chest. I hope I do not get sick (keeping my fingers and toes crossed)!

The babies have upgraded from rolling the ball to riding a bike. Soon they will be driving a car… but for now, we will be giving them a helping hand! Although sick, Ed has been participating in a lot of the babies’ weekly activities. He even attended a Mom’s Club Nature Walk in Whittier Narrows and went to the baby gym class. He was the only one that could lift his baby well above his shoulders and keep him up (maybe because he was the only supper strong dad there)!
