On Friday, Ed went with Max to the living room so that he could roll around on the mat without waking up Eli. Max rolled, then crawled to his box filled with toys and reached in to pull toys out! That was such an exciting experience for Eddie. Later, when Eli woke up, we place him an arm distance from the toys. He quickly crawled to the toys and grabbed as many as he could.
We also practice sign language and French. I did not take any formal French classes. I am learning French from audio tapes. I also am not fluent in sign language. Each week I get a sign “word” from a baby website and I practice it with the babies. They are starting to copy my hand gestures; hopefully they will understand the meaning of the gestures too. Grandma and Grandpa Castillo are also learning to sign.
Ashley, Jr’s daughter came over for the weekend. We took her to see Disney on Ice: Princesses Wishes. She loved playing with the babies. While we went to the Disney on Ice, Phil and Carmen took care of the babies. Afterward, we all went to Ashley’s restaurant choice, Sizzler’s. Her hyper-ness, rubbed off on my babies and no one wanted to go to sleep. Come morning my little roster were crowing at dawn and I went to check on them, she had a pillow over her head trying to block them out. Finally payback for all those weekends she would come running into our room to ask me if I was awake when I would be sleeping!
