Ed, Liz and the boys have been going walking almost all week. We are very fond on the new trail by the railroad tracks. We try to walk before the heat starts or just as the sun begins to set. The boys enjoy the outdoor and seeing the neighbors walk their dogs. Ed connects his ipod to his jogging stroller and we hear music on our walks. Eli sways his body and hands to the beat and Max even begins to sing. Both boys clap their hands. They love music- it must be all that singing they hear from Eddie in the shower!
In the begining of my pregnacy I went from crazy Ice Cube Old School Rap to Baby Einstien Classical Music. The transition was not as hard on me as it was for the passengers in my car. Monica would vote to hear nothing than to hear Mozart! Now days, I just cruise around with my boys. If Ed's in the car, we will listen to country music or Spanish Romantic music like Javier Solis and Vicente.
Thursday, we went on a play date with Mckinsey and her mom Beth. We met up Parnell Park where they kids played on the sings and crawled around. Afterward, the boys and I went to Ms. Martha's parenting class where we had a lot of projects to catch up on. We did a lot of foot painting projects! I didn't take many picture at this time because I had lost my camera for a few days. Luckily by Friday I had found it again.
On another note, Eddie and I have been devoted Aquarium of the Pacific member for a few years. We only used our membership previlges to see the Aquarium after hours or on Behind the Scenes tours. We would attend the Jazz Events and any event that offer wine. We went once to the Aquarium last year while I was pregnat and we thought how exciting it would be for our babies to experience these activities. This year we missed the Jazz night because we got out of the office late and wanted to spend time with our kids.
Since the electrian came down on Saturday to work on the house, I did want the babies home during the semi-construction going on. The day was too hot to just be out in the street. So after our oatmeal breakfast at Polly's we headed out to the aquarium. Aparently a lot of people take their kids to the aquarium on Saturdays. It was so crowed!! Luckily we didn't have to wait in line for the entrance, but to take a picture with the Sea Otter was a 30 minute line. Even to see the tanks, there were lines! My kids love being around people, so they did not mind the crowds.
While visiting the Shark Lagoon, Eli reached for a lady's water bottle and grabbed her leg instead. She jumped so high, her leg almost leaped over her boyfriend. I quickly appologized and began to stroll the boys away from her. She laughed out of embarrasedment and said that she was so focused on the sharks, she thought one them grabbed her! I applogized over and over again.
As the sun began to set, we went to the bird location. I purchased a small cup of sweet nectar to try and lure so of the birds down for a close-up picture with my boys. After a few minutes, my kids stopped caring about the bird and were having more fun getting wet by the misters!
