1 yr 26 weeks: Gee Thanks! 11-29-06

After practicing several turkeys before the big day, Ed's turkey masterpiece came out very juicy (even the white meat)! Ed and David decided to get the big birds grillin' at night so that they would be rushing in the morning. Just as they had gotten the coals fired up, Cesar (Ed's bro) calls him up asking for cooking the turkey advice. Ed quickly put some brine stuff together and headed with David and David's cherry pie toward Cesar's home somewhere near Inglewood!!! Luckily I placed more coal on the grill and Ed rushed back home. And this was the day fall season kicked in dropping the weather temperature in the low 60s which made a normal 3 hour grill time start at 10pm and end at sunrise! I fell asleep around 2ish, Eli was so excited looking at his dad through the bedroom window, he didn't sleep until Ed did, but then got up at his usual 6:30am for his milk and play time.

We have so much to be thankful for: our family, health, and overall getting over through the year still smiling. But most of all I'm thankful for my parents (thank goodness they have thanksgiving at their house)!

It's starting to be a new holiday tradition taking Eli to the hospital they day after a big holiday. Last christmas, he rolled of the bed, a few months before during Labor Day weekend he fell from the sofa, (good thing David, Carmen and Phil love him) the day after Valentine's he had a crazy loud old man cough and this thanksgiving he had surprised my parents with vomit and the runs! Ed and I took him to the hospital where they said "it's something that's going around" and sent us home. Luckily he healed the next day only to contaminate Carmen, Phil, Lucy, Grandpa Gerardo and Grandma Petra, Helen, Monica and Eddie. Gee thanks Eli!
