This week was Great-Grandpa Catarino's bday, where we celebrated with a carne asada cookout at Grandpa/ma Gerardo/Petra's home.
Both boys really enjoy taking care of Bryant, especially now that he interacts with them. They love teaching him how to hold toys and how to zoom the cars. They love hugging him and giving him head pats (we practice being on gentle Lilo the dog- which is where the head patting comes from) Both Lilo and Bryant drowl on the boys, it's cool, because that's their way of saying, "I love you, too!"
Carmen and Bryant joined us at the Toddler class. Toward the end of the class Bryant was ready for a nap, but all the excited kept waking him up. Luckily he got to sleep in the car and felt much better later!
We also went to the La Habra Children's Museum where Max and Eli played the piano. Max actually played kinda nice, he didn't just bang on the keys- he kept his fingers curved and walked them smoothly over each key with care as if understanding that each note played was making its own sound. Later that day, another talent emerged, playing basketball. Both boys took turns tossing the ball into the basket, and since they only had one ball, they instantly started finding sphere subs- like our house phone and books!
