1yr 5 Weeks: What a Bang! 7-05-08

Ed continued to help the Hernandez Family "reveal" the hardwood floors under their living room carpet. Grandparents Gerardo and Petra also assisted with the flooring. On Sunday, Ed and I wanted to eat menudo so we went to Avila's Ranchito in Long Beach. They had a Sunday Brunch with Mariachi and sports center on mute.

On Tuesday, we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain with his cousin Miguel Sanchez. We had such a good time! The weather was great (meaning not unbearably hot) and the rides were all open and with short lines (meaning less than an hour wait). We even took the boys to the toddler section were we rode on the airplane, pepe le pu teacup, and train. Ed we went into batlled mood with some 9 year olds at the yosemite sam shoot out range. (I don't know the extact name of these locations, so to make my story more exciting, I do what I do. We missed the 5 minute parade in Gotham City- but we were lucky enough to take pictures with a lot of the cartoon characters.

Ed stayed home the rest of the week, while I went to work.

On 4 of July Liz and the boys went with Wendy and Angel (the pedroza twins aunt and cousin) to the Aquarium of the Pacific. We had such a great time viewing the tanks and Angel touch a starfish and took pictures next to the shark tank. Then later, I met up with Eddie and we went to the Whittier Firework Spectacular! It slightly reminded me of the Hollywood Bowl Firework Spectacular except for the lack of live orchastra, expensive seats, and wine. However, the lack of formalities was greatly comensated with fun children activities: free keychain, windmill and face painting crafts as well as the admission price was almost free, a toddler and big kid jumper- but the great of all points went to leg room! We spread out our picnic blanket and baby blanket and pushed back our stroller- lots of room for everyone. (At the bowl, you are practicly arm locking with the stranger next to you- this one lady sat so close to me I know the characteristics of the wine she drank- which unfortunately didn't over power the raw onions in her sandwich! Thank goodness, I love my mom!) The boys loved the fireworks, Max kept pointing at them- which is something he has learned to do. Eli grooved to the music and "ooohed and "aauud" over the bangs.

Ps: wonder why my kids are next to easter baskets, I was suppose to take picture of them with the baskets on Easter and forgot until now. I more the crossed my "to-do" list!
