This week, the Chon and Pitufo’s alertness has increased so much! On Sunday, 8-5-07, the babies had a “Welcome Home” party. They were both very intrigued with the Mariachi band. I thought the music would have been too loud and startle them, but they didn’t even seem bothered. The band’s movement and shiny instruments kept their eyes focused on them. The sounds must have been familiar since Eddie plays Vicente Fernandez music all the time in the car. They also stayed up most of the day since family and friends were carrying them around. We hoped they would have slept the whole night… wishful thinking! They eat there regular 4oz, but now we’ve added cereal in hopes that they will fill up more and sleep better. Above is a photo of them with a professional photographer on their 2nd month birthday. A few days ago, Max and Sergio began to “speak” to us. They make their “cooing” sounds while looking at us as if they are saying something to us. We mimic the sounds they make and they smile as if we understand them. This communication thing is so much fun! Maybe my dad will video tape them speaking (HINT…HINT…HINT…).
