Auntie Carmen bought them these bear hats a few weeks before the babies were even born. Eddie took the hats home and washed them by hand. He hung them out to dry and then ironed them. A few days after their birth, the nurses put the (tailored by tape) hats on the babies. Sergio’s hat was so big (even with the tape) it would slide off his little head. In this photo you can see why Eddie calls Sergio “Pitufo” (Smurf). Two months after their birth, I decided to take a photo of them wearing their favorite hat. To our surprise the hats fitted slightly snug. That means in a few weeks, the hats are not going to fit any more!
It's funny; even with the hats on, we still get asked, "Which is Edward, which is Sergio?"

I should have gotten their bucket hats, and baseball caps with their names on it.
The bucket hats fit just right, so if you go and get there names on it...they may no longer fit. I'm taking photos of them each time they put on a new outfit, because by the time they come around to wearing the clothes again, it might not fit.
