Week 11: Keep your Head Up! 8-18-07

Experts write, “Like a synchronized swimmer, your baby might be moving and bicycling his arms and legs. His strength is increasing and when he's on his tummy, he can lean on his arms and elbows and push off his chest. He might be able to sit when propped up. Your baby is a charmer. He can hold eye contact with you for a minute or longer. He may try to get your attention or grab you when you're close and reward you with a grin when he succeeds. “ If the babies are laying next each other, they start to kick each other and the smile. The also wale their hands around with purpose of wanting food, or to sleep. They enjoy lots of eye contact and “speaking.” Since they are awake more during the day, they enjoy different activities. Their favorite activity, being carried around house and takes pleasure in the different room scenery. They are also spending more time on their bellies. They are taking the step toward crawling... This week they received their 2 month vaccines. They let out one giant grunt of discomfort and fell asleep within minutes. Their smiles are becoming more frequent. I'm hoping to snap pictures of them smiling more soon!!
