On Monday, we took the babies to the office because Celia (David’s mom, Liz’s Aunt) could not care for the babies. David’s youngest brother, Justin, caught the chicken pox. The boys are so used to crawling and playing with everything. They were very well behaved considering they were not allowed to play on the floor or crawl around. I guess from their frustration, they came up with a way of releasing their stress: SCREAMING! All day, they would randomly yell LOUD!
Everyone at the office was taking turns caring the babies, Karina, David, Lucy and Soledad! Everyone kept trying to guess who was heavier, who was wigglier, who was longer. And when the babies pooped, the whole entire office stank!
We patiently waited for grandpa Gerardo to arrive so that we could go home. Since he arrived passed 5:30pm, we figured we had an hour or so to closing, so we stayed until the end. As soon as we came home, we release the boys into the dense jungle of toys and glide around our bamboo flooring. I prepared their bottles as Eddie changed their diapers. We placed them in their crib and they instantly fell asleep. Good thing it is Eddie’s Day off tomorrow to stay home with them!
As we checked Max’s mouth, his bottom right tooth is peeked out! Sergio’s gums are bothering him, which means his first tooth is soon to follow!
Sergio is able to stand up straight and even let of his support while holding his balance! As excited as we are to see him stand on his own, he is getting bumped and bruised a lot too.
Thursday, was our last winter class. We took a class picture and we will reunite again in two weeks. Today is also the day the caterpillars arrive at the kidspace museum. For five bucks, you purchase a caterpillar and a kit for raising it! Then on April 19, Earth Day, they are released back into the wild! How cool is that?
Friday, the boys spent the day with Grandpa Sergio. They played and ate Mambo Grill’s Chicken Tortillas Soup. Grandpa said Eli did not like the soup so Grandma Petra got him another soup from Mexico 86. He ate his Mexico 86 soup really well.
I finally went and purchased the second bath seat. The boys had a lot of fun splashing the water around! They came out looking like prunes. The bath was so relaxing they drank their bottles and fell asleep for almost an hour!
Saturday was the “Whittier Easter Egg Hunt” celebration at Parnell Park where Salsa the Burro resides. (If you are a fan of this blog, you will remember Salsa taking Max’s blanket.) They took photos with the Easter Bunny and we saw a few friends from our Parenting class and Mom’s Club. They enjoyed the swings and held onto the sides very well. Max noticed his shadow and stared at it for a long time. Eli enjoyed the sensation of coming toward me and being swayed back.
Afterward, we went to get our caterpillars but could not find the kidspace museum and when I called for directions, they mentioned that they sold out of the caterpillars and would have more on Tuesday (maybe, daddy will go and get them)!
