Where were you on Tuesday at 11:42am? We had just left the register at Costco and were looking over our receipt when we heard the roof's metal shingles rattling in a low rumble and gradually increasing to an angry drum roll- then we felt the floor beneath us jolt rapidly. I glanced over at Eddie and shaken said, "I think we should go..." I hoovered over the babies like a protective shield and bolted out of there! The exit passage seemed to have stretched another mile, it felt like a long, slow frantic wait as other nervous shopper jammed the doorway way with their shopping carts. Luckily we arrived home safe and with just a few fallen books and the t.v. shifted, we realized how fortunate we were to be together. Since the boys had no idea of what happened, we decided to continue having a normal day. I took a few pictures of the babies as I was folding clothes. Eli had fun wearing shorts on his head!
Wednesday, we went to Pio Pico's Ranchito. The boys rode around in thier tricycles on the curvy road that led to the grape covered Pregula. We saw a jack rabbit and lots of fruit trees (some of which Eddie helped himself too- which he gracious paid for by depositiing funds in the donation box). As the sunset, we headed over to the farmers market, where Eli lost a shoe! I scavenge for his shoe like a child in search of a blue Easter Egg. Someone placed his shoe on top of the table where we eating, which made it easy for me to find. As we returned to the car, I snapped a picture of Max wearing his bike bandana.
Thursday, I finally finished the Indian Teepee that I made for the boys! They tipped over the sticks and used it as a bridge (crawling under the material like sneaky cats and climbed on to using it as a slide, then as they grew sleepy (it became a relaxing hammack).
Friday, grandpa Gerardo came to visit and we met up with aunti Carmen and uncle Phil and cousin Bryant for sushi. Later that evening we drove to Bigg's Pizza to celebrate Audrey's 7th birthday!
Saturday we all attended Phil's company's picnic and hung out at Knott's Berry Farm!
