Week 51: Rain, Rain, go Away! 05-24-08

We missed class this Thursday becuase the car had a flat tire and a huge thunderstorm! So we went to the park on Rives near Florence. The last time we came to this park was with Loni and thier cousin Musico (week 26) They had much more fun this time around since they were swinging and feeling the breeze between their toes! Since the weather was insanely crazy that week, we canceled our pool parties (friday at Mono's and Saturday at Carmen & Phil's). Instead we had a non-water pool party in the living room and substitued water for toys in the pool!

At least once a day, I sit them on the potty training sit. It is by far the hardest thing to get them to "do". They quickly stand up and move around. They are okay with sitting on it if they have their diapers on and pants on. I don't know, maybe the seat is too cold... at least they are having fun with the potty box!

On Sat, May 24th, Val and Jazmine shared their bday at Avila's Ranchito in Huntington Partk. Max stuck his hand in the cake and shared some of the mess with Val. While I helped cut the cakes, grandma Petra cleaned him up! Last year, we missed the party because I was in the hospital with one day before delivery. Saturday morning Eli fell asleep while eating his oatmeal at IHOP! Carmen, Phil, Mono, and I could not stop laughing!
